Training Makes Memories: Introducing Training Mode
Your child's season isn't just game days. It's the Tuesday-evening drills, the first successful bunt, the cartwheel between reps. Training sessions are now first-class events in SocialScoreKeeper — built for exactly those moments.
Ask any sports parent: some of the best moments of a season happen when there's no scoreboard in sight.
Until now, those moments didn't have a home in the app. You could create a "game," but a training session isn't a game — there's no opponent, no score, and there shouldn't be any pressure. So we built Training Mode: all of the sharing, none of the scoreboard.
All of the Sharing, None of the Scoreboard
A Real Event Type
Schedule a training session the same way you schedule a game. It gets its own card on the schedule, its own reminders, and its own place in daily summaries.
Full Fan Club Experience
Chat, photo gallery, and the in-app camera all work at training exactly like they do at games. Grandma sees the Tuesday drills too — if you invite her.
Zero Scoreboard Pressure
No opponent, no score, no scorekeeping. A training session page shows the details that matter and nothing that doesn't.
Stats Stay Clean
Training sessions never count towards performance stats. Game stats stay game stats — training is for trying things.
Want to track balls and strikes at an informal match? That's what the Scrimmage type is for. Training Mode is deliberately pressure-free.
Also New This Spring
A Smarter In-Game Camera
The camera now offers scene presets — Auto, Sports, Low Light, and Bright — so you get crisp action shots without touching a manual setting. Pinch-to-zoom is smoother and uses your phone's full range, from ultra-wide to telephoto on capable devices. And for the photographers among us, manual ISO and shutter-speed controls are there on supported hardware.
Foul Ball Counter for Baseball
Scorekeepers can now track foul balls with one tap — and the family watching from afar sees the count tick up live, with a little pulse on every foul. It's a small thing, but if you've ever sat through a twelve-pitch at-bat, you know it's not.
The Thread Running Through All of It
A child's sports story is bigger than the box score. It's effort on a weeknight, a grandparent's comment under a blurry action photo, the season seen whole. Training Mode — and everything else this spring — is about capturing the journey, not just the results.
Because the only stat that really matters is how supported they are.
See You at Training
